Why is Beowulf a True Hero?

what was something brave he did to make him a hero?

what was something couraging he did to make him a hero?

what was something self sacrificing he did to make him a hero? Why is Beowulf a True Hero?
He was a true hero because he was uber-strong (inhumanly so), he was not fearful, he was beloved, etc.

He killed Grendel and its mommy (brave/courageous), and I'm not sure of the other one. You could say that he went to the bottom of the lake, not knowing if he'd come back, just to kill Grendel's mom.Why is Beowulf a True Hero?
Beowulf was a hero to his people becase he defeated monsters. Of course he deceived them all by lying about slaying Grendel, but that is why they thought he was a hero.
