How Does ';honor'; prove the dignity of a true hero.?

Honor and honesty are related. It is derived from the Anglo-French word honour, meaning ';glory, renown, fame earned,'; and from the Old French word, honor, and from the Latin word, honorem, meaning ';honor, dignity, office, reputation';.





Honesty generally means ';respectable, decent, of neat appearance,'; also ';free from fraud,'; and from the Old French honeste, derived from Latin, honestus ';honorable, respected,'; and from honos . The modern meaning of honest is, ';dealing fairly, truthful';





Honor can also mean an integrity in one's beliefs and actions. A source of credit and/or distinction. It can be a symbol of high respect, worth, merit and rank. It can be high public esteem, fame and glory. When used in reference to a woman it refers to her chastity or purity.





These are the actions of a true hero. Honesty, forthrightness,


respectable reputation, and acts in a dignified (worthy, proper, fitting) manner.

Honor refers to a code, a system of conduct meant to evoke our higher nature. The hero represent the best, the ideal of human nature and as such for the fruits of a heroic quest to matter the hero must comport themselves in a way that is in accord with virtues such as honesty, integrity, and selflessness. honor is the true satisfaction of accomplishing your goals in a way that not only you feel comfortable, but makes others feel comfortable (friends opinion, he is an honor). In my opinion honor is a way for the school to show people's perfection in doing so. For example what if you are not a honor but still try your best, the school ignores your trying but accepts the ones who are freakin' perfect. so if your honor you will never understand the people who aren't.
It proves the dignity of a true hero because heroes shouldn't be arrogant and cocky. I think a true hero is someone who is humble and honorable. If you've ever seen Mulan or Hercules, I think you'll understand my point.
You can be a hero and be a total prick its all about the action. If you make fun of people but you save there lives its fine. A little honor and integrity would be nice though
