I was iffy bout this guy but he's gone through so much media bashing and is still very well respected among Americans. This is the American dream to go through problems and overcome obstacles so is Obama's recent bashing and him still stayin strong a sign that he is indeed a Hero?

Nope...he's not a hero in my opinion. You need to get a life...and a REAL hero.
He is definitely a hero.As a poor mother of a seven year old son who wants to be a President when he grows up,I am very hopeful for direction our country is going in if this outstanding man is elected.
What did he do that is so heroic...? If you are looking for a hero look toward McCain... He was a POW... That's Prisoner Of War for those of you who don't know... He fought for this country, was captured and tortured and still maintained a sane disposition... That is heroism...
I agree with most of what you say but he can't be called a hero as he hasn't done anything yet.
