a true hero to me would be someone who was willing to unselfishly give of themselves for the benefit of others. i don't feel that one has to be accomplished, or famous to be considered a hero - in fact, i think one of the best qualities of a true hero is that they are humble. a lot of people will do things for others, but they expect in return: recognition, praise, etc...
a true hero is someone who is in it for others, not glory. teachers, some (but certainly not all) military personnel; people who help out in homeless shelters, habitat for humanity, and other volunteer work that betters others. i don't think it takes a great deed to be a true hero, it takes a great heart (wow, that sounded totally cheesy...but that's how i feel). How do you consider to be a true hero?
Someone who isn't selfish and is ready to put forth effort and risk losing things important to him (including his life) for other people and for the side which he perceives is right (even if it isn't the right side for an opposing party).
Someone who takes the task that nobody else wants to do because they're too afraid, or they just don't care. How do you consider to be a true hero?
mother teresa to actually live your life living for and loving those whom the world considers unlovable or pple id rather avoid myself makes me take a second look at my so called goodness
A true hero must die for his country. He must consider others before himself. Example of which is saving the life of others in case of natural calamities. That for me is valuing true meaning of life.
I feel we are all heros. The hard working everyday people who go to jobs they hate everyday to support their families. The silent care takers of fathers , mothers, and handicapped children, who give up their wants and needs and dreams to make sure their loved ones are taken care of. The relentless souls who fight for our enviroment and for animals who can't fight for themseleves.
Anyone who stands up for justice and the rights of the oppressed .
Fire fighters who charge into infernos, Cops who face danger everyday. If you look around we are surrounded by heros. We just take for granted what these people will do .
We don't see, we don't listen.
I consider a true hero to be someone who gives there life up for something that they believe in. I think that martin Luther king is a great example because he gave up his life even though he knew that he put is life and the life of others in danger. He fought in what he believed in and he wanted change and he sacrificed himself for so many people he didn't even know. That is a hero. There are heros that go unregongnized everday for the small things that they do when in fact they are so big. Stoping a fight between kids, helping an old women across the street or carry her grocerys to her car, helping an animal in need, so many people are heros. Just picking up some trash on the side of the street makes you a hero. You dont have to do the big things to be considered a hero, the small things count as well. I liked your question.
My mother for raising me and my brothers with very little resources. making us grow to apreciate where we come from while at the same time aiming to live better than she did.
