John McCain is more of a military hero. In the Vietnam war, Colin Powell was rumored to have whitewashed most of his reports and information. McCain was a pilot who escaped an insane fire, where he helped rescue fellow pilots. McCain survived extreme torture as a P.O.W. and lived for several years in solitary confinement because he would not give up information.





McCain is more brave, and more of a hero to me.
I think there both hero's. Colin Powell won the Medal of Honor so in many peoples eyes he would be the hero.





But John McCain went through torture when his plane went down. He was offered the change to leave early but honored the First come first out thing...
They both are ....what the hell is your point.....if this is a McCain bash then you need to realize that being a POW is not McCain election platform........thats not the only reason people support him....do a little more homework if that was your point/
They both are true military heroes and they're both brave enough to stand up for what they believe in. None is better than the other, at least not in my eyes.
They both served and did so honorably, so drop this issue please. I still think a lot of Colin Powell after his endorsement of Obama even though I do not agree with him.



Both are and both performed tasks that reflected then having courage. A political decision does not change that.
