my deffinition of a hero would be someone who is couragous and brave, someone who will stick up for hemselves or someone else. somebody who is willin gto handle a bad situation. a hero doesnt have to save you from a crazed monster :D they just have to be someone you really trust, and look up to. thats my opinion of a hero! :DCan anyone give me a good definition of what a hero/true hero really means?
A true hero is someone who does what is right/correct whatever the situation is!

The hero or heroine(the female version of a hero) is the protagonist of the story. Usually in fictional stories, but sometimes the word is used to describe people/animals in real life, too.





Heroes/Heroines, in order to be considered heroes/heroines, must do something bold and risk their life in order to protect another. Sometimes animals can be heroes/heroines because rescue dogs often save people, and real-life humans can be heroes or heroines by doing something like diving into a dangerous river to help an old person who is holding on to a canoe for dear life (this example was on tv like five seconds ago, which is pretty ironic).





The common conception that someone you look up to is considered a hero/heroine is highly misconcieved, and used only in a slang-like variation of the word, and is inaccurate, I assure you.
